Micah has lived on their own near the valley for years now, and they are perfectly content with that. Even if it means having had no contact with another person in all that time.
But when they find an injured boy while out foraging, and promise to bring him back to his group, they may find that they were not so content with that, after all.
And maybe, with the help of Sylvie, they can undo the mental binds that led them to live near that valley in the first place, and seek out something better.
Additional info: This is a post-apocalyptic story with monsters and magic! They aren't the focus, though.
